Hi Everyone- I am excited to bring you my Christmas projects using the fabulous new Christmas stamps from Quietfire Design! This is Day Two of the Christmas Blog Hop and if you missed Day One, go see Yogi and Wanda. Remember to leave comments as you go, to be eligible for the draw where you can win a grab bag of great Quietfire Design rubber stamps! See what I mean---exciting!
I used Rejoice and Hallelujah, and Christmas Cuddlers stamp sets for this little tree. The Simple Stories designer paper was wrapped around the blocks, the ends were lightly sanded, then sponged with Forest Moss or Frayed Burlap Distress ink. The top block (joy) and the lower block (Christmas wonder) have a panel attached with the words stamped and the edges inked. The second down block (Rejoice) was stamped directly onto the designer paper. To be honest, I messed up the stamping directly onto the top block (joy) so added the panel to correct it. The bottom panel was added for balance. :) Serendipity abounds because I like it better- it tamed some of the busy-ness.
Ribbon and hemp twine add texture and dots of Lumiere Super Sparkle add a tiny bit of shine.
The star was cut using the smallest die of the Nestibilities Stars, then the edges were inked and it was spritzed with sparkle shine spray. Then all the blocks were glued together and the star attched.
I have been un-mounting wood stamps (again) and the blocks worked great for this little tree.
The tree inspired me to add this card. It uses the same stamp sets, more distress inks and designer paper with the addition of a scallop circle wreath.
I hope you have enjoyed this look at just a few of the wonderful new Christmas stamps that are available now.
If you haven't already, please go see what Robyn has to show you today and don't forget to leave a comment on her blog too.
