Welcome!

This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

COLOUR Q, COLOUR LOVE

I REALLY love the colour choices on the Colour Q challenge this week. The In Color palette from Stampin' Up! this year is so pretty and three of them are in this challenge. Here is my card -
Today, this card and its sentiment is for you. I appreciate your visit and your comments.
I hope you have a very HAPPY DAY.

SHOULDA, COULDA, WOULDA

So, yesterday I *shoulda* had a Christmas card ready. I *coulda* made it had I realized where in the month we really were ( so fast!) and maybe I *woulda* been a day late anyway. :)
I love the new lace ribbon punch and I still love cherry cobbler for a Christmas red.
I am hoping to put a card camp together real soon since we can start making our Christmas cards now can't we?
Have a beautiful day, wherever you are and whatever you're doing.

SHE FINALLY GETS INKED

No, I don't mean a tattoo  :)
This isTotally Tess. She came out in last years catalogue and I used the set for the first time this week. It was one of the first sets I bought then too, so it's been sitting on my shelf waiting for ink, for a long time.
Retiform or grid technique was chosen for Hostess Club (good choice Sis!) and Tess along with her accessories, worked well.
So did this set.
It's called Happiness Shared.
So, I was happy to do a technique from long ago and use a set that hadn't seen ink yet.
Good thing that techniques are timeless even if stamp sets retire.

Do you have stamps that have yet to see ink? There's no way I'm alone in this.

Have a great and creative day!

TRY, TRY AGAIN

Once again, Colour Q has released their colour challenge. A combo I doubt I would have chosen myself, but I like it- it's kinda beachy, although the card is not.
Here it is...
Click here to see more and join in the challenge. Don't be like me last week and wait too long to post it- I missed the cut-off by an hour. Oops!

I see sunshine peeking over the mountain this morning. Let's hope we see lots of it today.
Have a wonderful day and let your creative self PLAY.

PROUD? YOU BETCHA!

My awesome little niece worked very hard and got her grade twelve. It's been a long time coming for her and we couldn't be more proud and happy for her. So, a card and a gift, and no, I didn't plan having them match  :) they just turned out that way.
I had the best time making this bracelet for her. Beads and wire are right up there with paper and ink for me.

Way to go Kiddo!

The card colours are the challenge colours at Colour Q this week.

If you want to play along, go here.

Thanks for coming by. Enjoy your day!

MORNING MEOW

I was up very early this morning and decided it was playtime  :)
There is nothing fancy here, or technique-y, other than the criss-cross stripes on the strip under the sentiment and ribbon. A liitle colouring on the cat and he's ready to meow.

Enjoy your day!
