Welcome!

This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

CHRISTMAS IN THE AIR

Hi Everyone! This card came from my scrap pile! I was tidying my work space yesterday and any bits and pieces, I tossed to the side. Once done, I realized that a lot of the pieces looked good together, so I added the sentiment and put it all together. The faux mosaic tile strip was something I'd done weeks ago and never really liked with anything I chose for it. So, it got pushed aside. Now, I love how it works with the vibrant red. I think I should work from a scrap pile more often.

This tag design from Quietfire Design, is a lot of fun. I've kept the 'decorating' very simple on them, especially the two on the left with the cut out text.

I hope all your plans and projects are going well.
Thanks for stopping by!

TAGGING TIME

For many years, we purchased tags to put on our gifts and had to write very small to fit on the to/from information. When I really got going with the card making, I added tag making as well. Here are the ones we're using this year. They have lots of room for writing on!
All these tags took a little time to make but a lot of the colouring was done while watching tv. I wish I could say it was a Christmas movie but I seem to recall X-men or something. Yes, really.
This last photo shows my favourites. They have lots of room, were very quick to make and have a contemporary look of banners.
I hope you're enjoying the season, however you spend it.

Thanks for looking today!

COLOUR Q #162 & QF TAG ORNAMENT

Colour Q time again and the colour palette never disappoints. For some reason, I decided to layer-lots. The opposite of the one layer cards I've been doing lately. :)
That's really all there is to this card- layers. The stamp is another Quietfire Design beauty from the Bookmarks collection. The card stock is all Stampin' Up! and the dies used are Spellbinders which I bought from Quietfire Design.
While sorting through some boxes, I came across this tag/ornament that I made a couple years ago. Another combination of Quietfire Design stamp and SU! product. I think the flourish is a Magenta stamp. Don't you just love the "oh Santa...."?

Thanks for looking today. I appreciate you stopping by.
Have a fantastic day and flex some creative muscle.

MORE TAG FUN!

I came across some Christmas ribbon in my art room and was immediately inspired to use it. A few hours later and I will be giving a gift bag of tags to a young friend of mine. She'a busy new Mom and I know she'll enjoy this treat.
I hope you are having a great weekend!

TAG!! YOU'RE IT!

Three of the thirteen tags made Wednesday night. the l;argest measures 4 1/4 x 5 inches.
A variety of materials and methods were used.

These two strike me as masculine and feminine - Grandma and Grandpa tags!
These two are the Kiddie tags.

Frosty covers the tin. The bellie band slips right off so the tin can be re-purposed after Christmas.

That's all for today.
Have a good one and thanks for coming by!
