Welcome!

This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

ORNAMENT FOLLOW-UP

Using the stamp set and die set, I made the catalogue ornament in blue. It took me an hour from start to finish which surprised me- I thought it would take longer.
Here it is next to the one made with a flower petal punch.
I like them both but I see now that the tulle is too long, it needs trimming.
Can you see these done in rich colours? Me too!

Thanks for looking.
Have a fabulous day!

DIE IT OR PUNCH IT

If you haven't seen this ornament yet, I'd be very surprised. It's everywhere and it's beautiful.
This ornament uses a stamp set and a die set. I DO plan to make one. But, I was thinking how we could make it without the dies and pulled out my flower punch. I also had some lightweight snowflake pattern card stock (paper) and punched away.

This ornament is 4 1/2" in diameter, so smaller than the other one. There is shimmer paint, shimmer spray and some distressed tulle. Distress tulle by  melting it a bit with the heat tool.
They do take a bit of time but worth it I think.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

RED, WHITE & BLING

Silver glitter paper takes the place of rhinestones and delivers the bling. To make this card snail mail friendly, use regular double sided tape instead of foam tape under the punched ornament. Flatter card and just as nice. This card would also look great using blue or purple instead of red.

Thanks for looking!

ONE BIG ORNAMENT!

How big? Five and one half inches wide- that's how big!
The top photo is with a flash, the bottom one is without. You get a better idea of the colours without the flash So, for someone who was feeling a little 'done' with all the vintage stuff around, I went a little to the vintage zone. I blame it on the chunky glass glitter- it cries our for vintage-y, and yes, that's a word. (my word anyway)
My other words are- have a wonderful day!

THIS 'N THAT ORNAMENTS

Chipborad and dies, paper and ink, recycled silk flowers and ribbon, glue and glitter, a bit of time and you have a few additions for the tree.
Again, sorry about photo quality here.
These ornaments could  have just as easily  been cards or tags.

Three weeks until Christmas Day- really!
Have a great weekend and thanks for looking in.

SPARKLY SANTA

This Santa is ready for Christmas, as a tag or a tree ornament.
The front is totally glittered using Iridescent Ice embossing powder. The back is designer paper and easy to write on for a tag.
The actual Santa art was found online- search free online vintage Christmas art- you'll find loads of it.

It's dark and dreary out there today. A good day to get something creative going on.
Have a great day and thanks for coming by my blog.
