Welcome!

This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

LAST POST FOR 2010

This is it! A new year right around the corner, so this makes this the last post for this year.
I have really enjoyed blogging- I plan to continue. Hope you've had a bit of fun here too.
I can see now that I need to straighten the ribbons and maybe place the pinned circle a little higher. Only noticed in the photo- funny huh?

I have a folder on my desktop that I store my blog photos in. Once used, I move the photo to another folder so that I won't repeat it, because it could happen! Did I post that one yet, hmmm????? I would spend half my time asking myself that and then have to go looking- blah!
Why am I telling you this? I have too much in the folder and I'm thinking I'll share a bunch- now.

Some vellum and a white gel pen- soft results.

I remember spraying lots of water and using re-inkers but not much else :)

The flowers were stamped, the circles were punched and attached then grid lines were drawn. They're hard to see but there a lots of little dots drawn in too.

Just a bit of stamping and punching.

The rust card stock was sprayed lightly with bleach, dried well, then stamped with rust ink.

The challenge was t make a baby card and I am surprised to say that I really don't have any baby stamps. No, really! I saw a buggy done here  and blatantly copied it-- I mean, CASED it.
Copy and share everything.
Cute huh? I love her blog!

Okay, this is the last one today. I need to keep a few in reserve so I can share again tomorrow.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I ALMOST FORGOT!

In the hustle and bustle of the season, I almost forgot to share some cool news with you.
One of my cards was mentioned on this blog-
GO HERE
and you can see! I am so excited by this- you have no idea!
Be sure to look around at the other blogs mentioned- great stuff everwhere.
Okay, I'm done. Thanks for sharing not just my creative journey but my blogging journey as well.

SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT

So, after many days with no new posts for you, I have something a little different to share.
THIS is my gallery on Splitcoaststampers. There is definitely 'older' stuff here but you might like it.
Remember where you are though (SCS) and you can spend lots of time on the site- so take some tea with you!

HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS- I hope you get tons of goodies but more than that, I hope you have time with loved ones and contentment throughout the holidays.

CHRISTMAS MEDALLION

I love the Medallion background stamp- all year long!
Don't you love supplies that you can use that way? I do.
It's almost time to pull out the Christmas stamps and move them "out of the way" although I'm thinking it might be fun to make a Christmas card a month, just for this blog. Say, the 25th of each month.
Any thoughts?

QUICK CHRISTMAS CARD

A punch out, a little embossing, a little stamping, some foam tape, a little gold cord and quick as a blink you have another Christmas card.

Enjoy the day!

ONE BIG ORNAMENT!

How big? Five and one half inches wide- that's how big!
The top photo is with a flash, the bottom one is without. You get a better idea of the colours without the flash So, for someone who was feeling a little 'done' with all the vintage stuff around, I went a little to the vintage zone. I blame it on the chunky glass glitter- it cries our for vintage-y, and yes, that's a word. (my word anyway)
My other words are- have a wonderful day!

LAST CARD CAMP FOR 2010

Okay, as promised, the cards from the last card camp this year. Hope you like them.

I loved spending time with all of you who came out to the card camps. Believe me, I learn lots from all of you too- it's never just me telling you guys what to do. I bet it feels like that to you though :)

Thank you to all of you! I appreciate the support and I take very seriously the confidence you have in me.

Enjoy the coming days. May they be filled with glitz and sparkle, warmth and contentment.

O CHRISTMAS TREE - UPCYCLED

More Thrift Store finds- a beat up foam tree and little jars and baggies of broken jewellery. Add a good tacky glue and the result is this Christmas tree decoration. Not to everyone;s taste I'm sure, but I love it!

Here it is a little closer and turned a bit.
Time consuming? Yes, but the evenings are spent watching tv so the hands keep busy. I have a couple smaller cones, er, 'trees' that I hope to get to soon.

Next up, the cards we did at the card camp last Sunday.
Thanks for stopping by!

THIS 'N THAT ORNAMENTS

Chipborad and dies, paper and ink, recycled silk flowers and ribbon, glue and glitter, a bit of time and you have a few additions for the tree.
Again, sorry about photo quality here.
These ornaments could  have just as easily  been cards or tags.

Three weeks until Christmas Day- really!
Have a great weekend and thanks for looking in.

DASHAWAY DASHER

The Dasher stamp is a favourite- I'm sure you've seen it pop up all over the web. My plan here was to use Certainly Celery cardstock since I seem to have a ton of it! This is okay but not "it". It needs more contrast, or a whole lot less of the green. Ah well- back to the drawing board.
Have a terrific day!
