Welcome!

This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT!

Hi! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer- it's just flying by, isn't it?
In my busy-ness, I forgot to blog this card. I just discovered it while reviewing some photo files :)

This fun-to-make card has washi tape, close together to create designer paper. Then, some holes were cut out, some butterflies were punched and embossed and the card was put together.
Don't you love the happy birthday stamp? It has whimsy and happy all over it! It's one of  a set of seven stamps- all beautiful- and you can get them HERE

This is a design idea I could use again- different washi tapes, maybe squares instead of circles, another greeting. We'll see. :)

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you're having a terrific summer!

WASHI TAPE RESCUE

Check this out! Aren't these little boxes cute? Suzanne of Quietfire Design created the cut file for these, and I was happy because I'd recently sorted out my washi tape but wasn't thrilled with my system.

This is the BEFORE shot. The tape rolls are on a tube, which means you need to take a bunch of rolls off the tube, to get the one you want to use. And no, I can't just pull tape off the roll while it's still on the tube. ;)
I cut and assembled four boxes, and then thought I'd make another one, resize it a little deeper for my larger rolls of washi tape.

Okay, it does hold the larger rolls, but I didn't make the flaps larger so you see a big gap. Still functional, but not nice like the others. I had to try again......

Not a perfect match but so much better. I left off the hearts in the corners because I'd distorted them with the changes in size, but I'm fine with that. This larger box works well for the larger rolls, and I'm happy with it. Apologies to Suzanne for mangling her design a bit. It's such a great design to start with.

So, there it is- easy access, and tidy, and CUTE!

Thanks for looking today!
