Welcome!

This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

SILVER GLITTER CARDSTOCK- OH MY!

Can you say "Luscious"? That's what it is. Stampin' Up! has silver glitter cardstock and it's just as beautiful as the red. So easy to use, no messing with adhesive and loose glitter, although that has it's fun side too.
Be warned, as I seem to be on a bit of a Christmas kick, which is no surprise since I just received an order with Christmas themed goodies in it  :)
And that too, is LUSCIOUS!

Have an amazing day!

TO FLASH OR NOT TO FLASH

Quite often, I can't decide if the photo looks best with or without the flash. It depends on the time of day, if the sun is shining and if it's a light or dark card.  The next photo will show with the flash. I want to tell you about the glitter hearts too.

I was at the Thrift Store yesterday and came across the pastel pink glitter. I decided then to make pink glitter paper. I love the red glitter paper that Stampin; Up! has available right now and thought pink would be nice to have as well. The best part- it doesn't shed glitter everywhere!
 Here's what I did-
^ applied a 4x8 piece of adhesive sheet to the pink side of a sheet of pink paper- not cardstock
^ removed the release paper and shook the pink glitter all over the exposed adhesive
^ tapped off excess glitter, then covered with the release sheet and pressed down the glitter
^ tapped off the excess glitter again, then brushed on an even layer of gloss mod podge

Once dry, it glitters beautifully, is lightweight and punches easily.  Once the mess from making the sheet is cleaned up, there is no more glitter mess while using the paper.
Give it a try- make your own glitter paper. Any sealer will work, it doesn't have to be mod podge brand, but it should be glossy finish.

Have fun!

CONFETTI GLITTER

Lots of beautiful silver glitter surrounds little foam squares of coloured glitter. Wide double-sided tape determined the width of the glitter strip. How-to you ask? Easy peasy I say :)
First, prepare your main strip by applying the wide double-sided tape to your scrap cardstock. Peel off the release paper to expose the 'sticky'. Carpet tape works great for this. Then, get your sheet of foam squares and peel the release paper from four of them. Sprinkle on the glitter- my card uses turquoise, press onto foam with a spoon and shake off excess. Place three glittered square onto your wide tape-set aside the fourth. Repeat with more foam squares, using two more colours- like rose and eggplant, remembering to set aside one of each colour.
Once you have placed your glittered foam squares on the carpet tape, cover the piece with silver glitter, press it on and shake off excess.Layer this glitter panel and place your single foam squares around the sentiment. That's it!
I haven't seen this done anywhere else but I doubt anything is original, somewhere someone else has thought of it too. For now, credit me if you share okay?

Hope you get to play with some glitter real soon!

GLITTER LACE

Pull out your shades! There is high bling content here!
Really, it's just lots of beautiful, gleaming glitter.
The pink and blue cardstock are a much better match IRL.
Love the shimmer and shine!

GLITTER- it's the right stuff!

You can't have Christmas cards without some glitter- somewhere. Of the four we did this weekend, this one has the sparkle. The stuff gets everywhere, can be a real pain to use but you just "gotta have it"- 'nuff said.

MEDALLION SPARKLE

What could be better than Christmas in July?
How about Christmas in December? Yes, Christmas is fine right where it is, but we can get the cards made anytime. It's less than six months until Christmas and even less time before mailing out those cards. Just sayin'.......

PEEKING THROUGH DIAMONDS

More glitter! Dazzling Diamonds glitter and packing tape- a win-win combination. On the two lower flowers the tape is over white cardstock while on the top flower, the tape creates a window. The stamped image peeks through perfectly.

Enjoy the long weekend- stay safe!
