Welcome!

This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

SOME SILHOUETTE SATISFACTION

Ever since I bought my Silhouette Cameo, I have wanted to draw a zentangle, then make a cutting file with it. So, last week, I did that- go me! I cut a small card-sized one in black, and a larger one in green.  The green one is for using with my gelli plate, which I've done, and it's no longer green. It's more multi-coloured now  :) That will be a post another day.

Today, while working on a tutorial for Saturday, I decided to use the black one.
It's a large piece to glue down, and I knew my glue pen would take 'forever' so I decided to sponge the glue onto the piece.

It worked perfectly. A nice even coat of glue, but not so thick it seeps under the edges.
The key is, after picking up glue with the sponge, dab it onto the acrylic block a few times to spread and smooth it out, then dab onto the cardstock.

I stamped and matted 'My friend', another great Quietfire Design stamp, glued it down, and DONE!

Loads of satisfaction with this project.

Have a wonderful day- get in a creative work-out- and thank you for stopping by!

  1. Hi I love your creation,Is there any chance you will be selling your cut file? This is a hint I got from Kim Bell,Buy and little bottle from an art store it has a tiny little opening that has a little pin that goes down inside the opening that keeps it clear of glue when you aren't using it.Kim said the only glue that works is SoBo I got mine at Michaels .I couldn't believe it worked so good on tiny this we have to glue, and you don't get glue on everythingor on myself if you need a picture of the bottle just email me and I will send a picture.my email is bjperr2@gmail.com

    1. Thanks Jocelan. I have a fine tip glue bottle as well, and I like it for lots of things, but for this cut, I needed faster coverage. I'd be happy to just give you the cut file. Let me know, and I'll send it to you.
