Welcome!

This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

VALENTINE CHALLENGE & A STUNNER OF A STAMP!

Look at this beauty of a stamp from Quietfire Design. Absolutely perfect for this challenge card.
Suzanne shared CardMaker Challenge and I thought I'd give it a shot. The challenge is-
one paper, one heart, one sentiment stamp, and one embellishment.

I laid a heart die cut over my stencil, right on the card front. Then sponged inks through the stencil.
( I never got a photo of that but this photo shows my heart die cut over the stencil.)

This stencil was cut with my Silhouette Cameo, using an ornament filler design from Suzanne at Quietfire Design.
I removed the stencil, placed the heart die cut over again and sponged a lighter ink onto the card base. I followed this up with going around the edge again with the darker colour. I stamped the beautiful word with archival black ink.
Then made the embellishment......
The faux charm was made by applying gold embossing powder to foam tape, cut into a circle. Once heated and melted, more embossing powder was added. I built up four layers, and while the last layer was still hot and molten, I stamped the floral heart stamp that had been inked up with Versamark ink. Once cool, I stuck it to a folded ribbon, and attached it to the card.
I hope you're ready for Valentine's day, but if not and you'd like to see more, go HERE.

Thank you for looking and don't forget to check out todays posts for the Queen of Hearts Blog Hop and Challenge.

Have a wonderful and amazing day!
