Welcome!

This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

COLOURED ACETATE

What began as an ATC became the main image for this birthday card for my b-i-l. The fish peel-off sticker was placed on the acetate, then flipped over and coloured from behind. A drop or two of re-inker was added to a few drops of Future Floor Finish, then applied with a small paint brush. The colour is transparent but can be darkened by adding more ink to the FFF, or applying more layers, letting them dry between. I didn't for this fish but you can also add glitter to the wet colour.
The acetate was attached to the streaked cardstock with glue dots behind the fish.

As well as peel-off's, you can stamp with Stazon, or draw with permanent markers and apply colour to the back. You can also just apply colour for a background, having no design on front.

A fun process and I'm thinking letters for scrapbook titles would be fun. I'll try it out soon.

Have a marvelous day!

SCRAPPIN' THE TATT & MORE

I'm sharing some artwork that was done on my wrist/forearm. My first tattoo and possibly the only tattoo. I love it, it has a lot of meaning for me and I'd only do another for that same reason.
Here's a closer look....
I was next to a sunny window so the photo is a tad bright but you get the idea.

I enjoyed the scrapbooking as well. Here's another-

This photo of our boys is over 20 years old! Who knew time could pass so quickly? We blinked and they grew up. The best part- they are close and best buds today.

That's all from me today. Have a super weekend!

ART JOURNAL

I enjoy looking at art journals created by others and decided to take the plunge and begin one of my own. Talk about total freedom! Play, experiment, no way to fail, no judgement- it's all good. I don't even have to share if I don't want to.
So, I've decided to 'art up' different quotes and words for life that I've been collecting forever. That let's me get started with the art part, and ease on in to the journal part :)

I began by dragging a couple different colours of distress ink around the page- sometimes pausing to let the square shape of the pad show up. I was testing out a new die and so the cut from it became the base for my "10 things to learn in life" plant. Over-sized leaves to write in and lots of outlining.
Easy and relaxing- and I'm using my supplies, yayyy!

I try to work in the book, a little everyday, or zentangle, and it's very calming.

Art is so good for you!
So go do some and have an amazing day.
Thanks for looking, I do appreciate it.

LETTERING PRACTICE

I found some sheets of heavy kraft paper, bound it into a book and now plan to use it for practicing my lettering. The kraft paper takes ink very well and pencil crayon even better. I'm going to enjoy working in this book.

Happy Easter!
