NATURE'S INSPIRATION

It's very windy and blustery today. Great for drying up snow and wet ground and flying kites! Now you see my inspration for today's card. It's also my entry for Colour Q.

Beautiful spring amd Easter colours. Maybe nature and these colours can inspire you too.

TANGLED- TWO WAYS

The zentangling is still an almost daily practice for me. I did these while on vacation and they are different, but similar. They are different in that one is a planned design based on the large flower and bird, and the other is random tangling around a grouping of flowers. I like them both and I really enjoyed adding the die cut flowers and stamping before I tangled. A little something different.

PENNANT BIRTHDAY

Can you tell I love tools? I'm a regular gadget-girl :) I think most of us are. Put a piece of card stock into an embossing folder, over a die or into a punch and presto! Most often, what we get is exactly what we expect but sometime, it's even better.

Like our stamp sets, some tools can sit unused for a time. I'm trying to use more of them these days. I'm also challenging myself to get out the unused stamps and ink them up!

It's a little like spring cleaning, only fun  :)

LINES LOVE CURVES

The outside edges of this card had to be straight lines. There are so many different curves inside, it needs the hard lines to contain them! I think I took the design rule of lines loving curves to the absolute max. Some might even say I crossed the line  -ah, sorry, I had to say it :)

Whatever the rule, whatever the outcome, I had fun making the card while thinking about the sweet friend I made it for.

COGS FOR A GUY CARD

There is nothing spectacular about this card but it is fun. The cog punch is retired. They are a great shape for a masculine card and the colours are happy. I think it works,

BROCADE CARVING

So, honestly, can you stand any more carved stamps? I made this card to show the brocade motif I carved recently. It's clear embossed on the white background and lightly stamped (stamped off) by the sentiment. It goes rather well with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder.

Here it is, attached to the acrylic and a fully inked sample beside it. I love it!

I hope you may be encouraged to give eraser carving a try.

CARVED STAMP PIZZAZZ

My plain carved eraser stamps become something quite different with colour, don't they? I'm really liking the geometric shapes so I think some square designs should be next on the carving block.
