This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

So just for fun- add a little paint. I made this card many months ago and I liked it.
Lately, I'm looking back over cards and not liking them so much. Do you ever do this?
I still like the paint on the card but I think the green base needs something more. What do you think? If I decide to change this card, I'll share the result.

Create a little every day!

  1. I like the card. I think that the background is just that, the background. It brings the focus to the painted center, and doesn't distract. Simplify, less is more etc. We all still tend to think we need to add just something more, because we have embellishments, tools, and ideas just waiting to be used.( and of course, there's still blank space...) I constantly have to stop myself, when the card looks good already.

  2. Thanks for this...I totally agree with you. I would add that it sometimes can be a matter of focus, as in not seeing the whole because our focus is on one area. Often, I just need to step away for awhile and look again, at the whole thing. Glad to know, I'm not alone.
