NOT JUST VALENTINES

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is the last one for Valentine's day.

I layered the e-cut over some gelli print paper, then put it through a poppy embossing folder. Attached it to the card base, added a bit of blue gel pen ink to the heart, and a bit of bling to the corner.

That's it, and it would be great for an anniversary or wedding card as well.

CLEAN & SIMPLE VALENTINE

Hi!

This CAS card went together very quickly, as in, under 15 minutes.

First, I cut out a heart mask- remember from school? Folding the paper in half, cutting the half heart shape, opening the paper to reveal the whole heart.

I laid this over the card base, then sponged Spun Sugar Distress Ink all over, but more heavily around the edges. Then, I stamped the hearts and Love You Forever with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, \purposely leaving space at the bottom of the heart. I removed the heart mask.

Using black archival ink, I stamped HVD, off-centre but overlapping the edge of the heart.

Followed up with one rhinestone, and called it done!

LOVE IN BLOOM

Honestly, what else could I call this post? This beautiful heart with the blooming rose and the perfectly penned 'Love', work together so well. Suzanne from Quietfire Design has nailed it again!

Strips of embossed cardstock provide the background and a few bronze pearls round out the design.

GIRLIE VALENTINE

A beautifully penned sentiment, with pink inks and pearls, just shouts 'girlie' to me.

This photo, taken by my son Dan, shows more accurate colours.

The pink panel was stamped with the heart, inks were sponged on and it was embossed with swiss dots. The 'dots' were lightly sanded revealing the white card stock. Opposite corners were rounded off, as were the base card corners. The panel was cut in half diagonally then attached to the base card. The sentiment was stamped, then die-cut, pink die-cuts were attached to the ends and the piece was popped up with foam tape. A few pearls were added. Simple but pretty, or I should say 'girlie'.

 

The stamps by Quietfire Design are very elegant and do the work on this card.

ICE CREAM COLOURS

The challenge was to make a card using a heart, or hearts. I think the pink and orange look like strawberry ice cream and a creamsicle- yum.

The heart has been watercolored and the small flowers in it coloured with markers. The heart was then inked with Versamark and heat embossed using Iridescent Ice embossing powder. Love this technique. Here's a closer look-
