Stamp once, punch three times, stick down and ....DONE!

Easy, peasy.

HMM...DIDN'T THINK IT THROUGH

I love these colours but I don't love this card. Yes, it's true, you won't find perfection here. The technique is called shattered glass and it does look like someone dropped a plate and the shards are lying there. Okay, kind of a negative feel. So, to match colours, I add flowers. hmmm  Then I add a sentiment that I have always read with a positive feel. hmmm Do you see the problem? I feel conflicted when I look at this card. Am I trying to say life is filled with broken moments? NOT! SO NOT!  Not my intention but I think that's what this card says. 

A bit of a lesson here to think about what the card is saying and if it lines up with what I want to say.

So, today's card will require a little re-working. hmmm

CLEAN AND SIMPLE

As you may have noticed, I have taken a real liking to clean and simple designs. So far, this one is my favourite. I was inspired by the card s on this post.

She is so talented and she posts everyday! Gotta love that.

Okay, I need to apologixe for the photo quality (again!) or rather, the lack thereof.

I didn't like the photo with the flash as it washed out the colours, so instead we get shadows.

One day, I need to take the time to set up a little photo booth and learn a bit about the settings on my camers. One day :)

Did you know there are nine weeks left until Christmas? ONLY 9 weeks! How did that happen?

So, you can freely copy any of my cards if you feel so inspired, please just don't post them anywhere without proper credits--- you know the drill.

Marina Mist, Pacific Point and Whisper White- what is it about blue(s) for Christmas?

A texture plate and embossing folder were used to take the starkness out of the cardstock. I'm still into the folded peek-a-boo ribbon and trying to get comfortable with a cleaner, simpler card.

Brown and bling- who knew?

CAS- clean and simple?

I CASED (copy and share everything) this card- different stamps but you'd know it was the same card. Stampin' Up! demos receive a monthly magazine and I cased this card from it. THANKS SU!

Far from CAS. A little fabric, embossing, punching, die-cutting and gluing glitter- whew! Oh yeah, and stamping!

MASKING TAPE...AGAIN!

One more card using Masking Tape background. It is definitely an 'oldie but a goodie' technique.

I apologize for my photos- not always that great. The cupcakes were coloured with a blender pen but hardly show up in the photo.

STRIPED CHRISTMAS

I used up some strips from previous projects for the background on this card. It turned out kind of subtle with a flash of red.

Using your strips from the scrap bin goes very quickly. Don't think it will take tto long to bother- it'll be worth it and you'be surprised by how quickly it goes together. It's only a quarter sheet of paper you're covering. Give it a try- I think you'll be glad you did.

HOSTESS CHOICE- MASKING TAPE

Monday night, we'll be having Hostess Club and masking tape background was the chosen technique. I have always given it a more masculine look, see this post 

This time, a little eggplant ink and crumb cake card stock were in order.

There should be some fun results with this one- I'll try to remember to take my camera to the workroom, so I can show you.
